Faculty and administrators come together to examine timely and important broader issues.<\/p>\n<h6>Faculty Enrichment Seminars<\/h6>\n<p>The week-long, intensive seminars are convened by distinguished faculty members from colleges and universities throughout the country. Through lectures, field trips, presentations, research, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants are exposed to the most recent scholarship in their fields while being given the opportunity to develop teaching and curriculum strategies for direct classroom application. [<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/brown-center\/faculty-engagement\/nyu-faculty-resource-network\/network-application\/\">Application Guidelines<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/facultyresourcenetwork.org\/programs-and-events\/visiting-scholar-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visiting Scholar Programs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/frn\/programs.events\/scholar.in.residence\/academic.year.scholar.html\">Scholar-in-Residence<\/a> programs allows Network faculty who are either on leave or sabbatical from their home institution to come to New York University to engage in research, develop curricula, and\/or produce manuscripts for publication during Fall or Spring semester.\u00a0The Summer Scholar-in-Residence programs allow Network faculty to come to New York University during the month of June to engage in research, develop curricula, and\/or produce manuscripts for publication.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: The residency programs are highly competitive. Applications need to be submitted to the Brown Center, at least three weeks prior to the posted FRN deadline to allow time for revisions. Please contact us with your intent to apply as early as possible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Spring sabbatical applications due in\u00a0August*<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Fall &amp; summer sabbatical applications due in\u00a0January*<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>University Associates Program<\/h6>\n<p>The University Associate (UA) program enables full-time faculty members of Network institutions to come to New York University throughout the academic year to use some of NYU&#8217;s academic facilities. University Associates can make use of their semester-long tenure by auditing courses, researching in the University libraries, and by participating in open departmental or interdisciplinary colloquia, lectures, symposia and seminars. University Associates may apply for one or all semesters in the academic year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Spring applications due in early October*<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Summer and fall applications due in mid April*<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>*ALL applications are reviewed by the FRN liaison to submission.
