During the academic year 2015-2016 alone, over 325,000 U.S. students studied abroad for academic credit from their home campuses, up 4 percent from the previous year. \u00a0A recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iie.org\/Programs\/Generation-Study-Abroad\">IIE Generation Study Abroad<\/a>\u00a0survey of over 4,500 alumni of U.S. higher education instutions who studied abroad between 1999 and 2017 showed that study abroad has an overall positive impact on the development of a wide range of career and life skills. The largest portion of respondents reported significant gains in intrapersonal, cognitive, and interpersonal skills, and more than half believed that study abroad contributed to a subsequent job offer.<\/p>\n<p>During this Lunch &amp; Learn, <a href=\"mailto:wviggiano@stetson.edu\">Wendy Viggiano<\/a>, coordinator of international programs at WORLD, \u00a0will engage faculty and staff in a discussion on how to plan and execute a study abroad experience for Stetson students. Faculty who have successfully conducted study abroad programs, including <a href=\"mailto:kreiter@stetson.edu\">Dr. Kimberly Reiter<\/a>, \u00a0will share lessons learned,\u00a0offer tips, insight, and ideas.
