Colloquium is an opportunity for the colleges of the Central Florida region to come together and share the best practices around teaching and learning. The theme of this year\u2019s colloquium is&nbsp;<em>Sharing Knowledge: Educating Students During a Pandemic.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much has changed around our profession and this colloquium will allow us to share the lessons learned from experiences over the past two years of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-a89b3969 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a summary of the schedule:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>8:30 a.m. \u2014 9 :00 a.m. Networking Breakfast&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9:00 a.m. \u2014 9:50 a.m. Welcome and Opening Remarks (Setting the stage)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10:00 a.m.\u201411:30 pm Concurrent Sessions<\/strong>&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Examining the gen-ed curriculum map to identify teaching approaches that could merit a +1 or with some development, ultimately merit a +1.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experiential learning and community engaged learning: High impact activities that fit well with the 3:2+1&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-energizing Your Curriculum &#8211; Small Changes Make a Big Difference: Designing learning objectives to support course organization, differentiation of content, process, and guide assessment \u2013 Bring your syllabus and your questions!&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:30 a.m. \u2014 12:45 p.m. Lunch (Stetson Room)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1:00 p.m.\u20142:30 p.m. Afternoon session: Innovation Caf\u00e9&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The goal for this working session is to bring together a diverse group of individuals to engage in discussions around different questions\/issues related to curriculum and workload renovation that lead to actionable ideas\/strategies that will guide the purposeful work that must occur to support a 3:2+1 workload model specific to Stetson University.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2:30 p.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m. Discussion, reflections, wrap-up, and announcements&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues, I am happy to announce that the Brown Center for Faculty Innovation and Excellence will be hosting a virtual&nbsp;Colloquium on Teaching and Learning Innovation&nbsp;on Friday, April 8.
