The Brown Center for Faculty Innovation and Excellence<\/a> is interested in reviving Teaching Squares at Stetson. \u00a0We are seeking a few brave educators to pilot interdisciplinary teaching squares. \u00a0If you’d like to participate in this pilot, please indicate your interest\u00a0at this form<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Q: What is a teaching square?<\/h3>\n

The teaching squares project offers faculty at any stage in their career an opportunity to gain new insight into their own teaching through a non-evaluative process of reciprocal classroom observation and self-reflection. The four faculty in each \u201csquare\u201d agree to visit one another\u2019s classes over the course of a semester and then to meet to discuss what they\u2019ve learned. The purpose of a Teaching Square is to open up new spaces for reflection and conversation about teaching.<\/p>\n
