{"id":5177,"date":"2017-04-17T08:00:28","date_gmt":"2017-04-17T12:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/faculty-engagement\/?p=5177"},"modified":"2019-02-17T12:30:28","modified_gmt":"2019-02-17T17:30:28","slug":"spotlight-how-can-rick-tysor-help-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/brown-center\/2017\/04\/5177\/","title":{"rendered":"Spotlight: How Can Rick Tysor Help You?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"mailto:rtysor@stetson.edu\">Rick Tysor<\/a> is a Renaissance man.<\/p>\n<p>He helps<b>\u00a0<\/b>faculty and staff develop strategies and proposals for virtually any type of program at Stetson University including new graduate and undergraduate degrees, non-credit programs, centers, institutes, initiatives, grants and contracts (in conjunction with the Office of Grants, Sponsored Research, and Strategic Initiatives) and other academic programmatic activities.\u00a0 Rick can also advise you on academic budgets, financials, and faculty-related policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><i>If it is administrative in nature, Rick can usually answer your question or direct you to the person who can.<\/i><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rick Tysor is executive director of academic administration at Stetson University. He has worked in business management positions at Johns Hopkins University and Hospital, and in major industry and charitable organizations. Mr. Tysor also served over 20\u00a0years in the military, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the National Guard.<\/p>\n<p>Rick Tysor earned a\u00a0B.A. in economics\u00a0from Vanderbilt University and M.S. in business\u00a0and financial management from Johns Hopkins University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rick Tysor is a Renaissance man.
