Max Weber on Traditionalism<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Max Weber describes traditional action as both irrational and intelligible. But how is it possible that an irrational action can nevertheless be intelligible? \u00a0I argue that Weber scholars have failed to give a satisfactory answer to this question and I propose a novel account of traditional action. This account of traditional action illuminates Weber’s account of traditional authority.<\/p>\n
