This panel brings together some of the country\u2019s boldest campaign finance reformers for a vibrant discussion on how to connect our current constitutional moment and the prospect of a new progressive majority on the U.S. Supreme Court with innovative new initiatives for ending big money\u2019s dominance of American elections.<\/p>\n

Big change has already been set in motion right here in Pinellas County, as the St. Petersburg City Council is currently considering a first-of-its-kind ordinance that would abolish super PACs and limit foreign corporate money in St. Pete elections. The ordinance, if adopted, would directly challenge the decision that created super PACS \u2014 SpeechNow.org v. FEC<\/em> \u2014 and could even roll back Citizens United<\/em>.<\/p>\n
