Submit your proposals by March 13, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Stetson University 2018 Global Citizenship Symposium planning committee has announced a new symposium! This year&#8217;s chose theme, immigration, provides the opportunity to connect conversations about immigration that are happening on our campus, start new ones, increase awareness of issues relating to local, regional, national and global cross-border movements, and generate concrete actions.<\/p>\n<p>This interdisciplinary symposium will be comprised of diverse events offered on the DeLand campus April 6-17, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Please consider submitting a proposal for a panel, workshop, creative exhibit, public forum, civic action or some other activity aligned with the theme of immigration.\u00a0 Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stetson.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_0Imxqlvl6hq3Uup\">call for proposals<\/a>\u00a0for details.\u00a0 Contributions and ideas for examining immigration from the lenses of education, laws and policy, economy and business, identity and the immigrant experience, and celebrating and sharing diversity across borders are <em>especially<\/em> welcomed.\u00a0<strong>Proposals are due by March 13th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the symposium, please visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/world\/global-citizenship-symposium\/\">Global Citizenship Symposium page at WORLD<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Stetson University 2018 Global Citizenship Symposium planning committee has announced a new symposium!
