\"\"The Writing Center<\/a> is in the process of hiring new tutors to work at the Writing Center in the fall.\u00a0 They are looking for students who are not only excellent writers, but also student leaders in the classroom. The best tutors are usually strong communicators and critical thinkers with positive, can-do attitudes.<\/p>\n

If you know a student who fits this description, please encourage him or her to apply. Our Stetson Writing Center mission is to support all Stetson student writers; therefore, the aim is to hire a diverse staff from across the disciplines.<\/p>\n

In order to apply, a student should submit the following two items to Leigh Ann Dunning’s office located in the duPont-Ball Library 140: (1) the attached here\u00a0Writing Center Tutor Employment Application<\/a> and
\n(2) a writing sample.<\/p>\n

Please advise students to read the official\u00a0tutor job description<\/a>\u00a0on the Writing Center web page before applying.\u00a0 Interviews are planned to start on April 16th<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
