So, you’ve put the final touches to your course syllabus. \u00a0 Did you dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s? \u00a0Have you gotten all your policies in the right places? \u00a0Does the tone of your syllabus reflect your classroom? \u00a0Does it tell students what excites you about the course – or what you’ll be like as an educator? \u00a0Does it need to?<\/p>\n

Join us at\u00a0Syllabus Bootcamp<\/em> to put the final touches on your syllabus, get supportive feedback from colleagues, and learn new strategies for preparing effective syllabi.<\/p>\n

Workshop Outline<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Part I – Syllabus Template<\/span><\/strong>: As a group, we will briefly review the Stetson University Syllabus Template.<\/p>\n

Part II – Making your syllabus transparent and inclusive<\/span><\/strong>: Members of the 2017-2018 Brown Innovation Fellows cohort will share lessons they learned in preparing syllabi that are transparent, clear and inviting to students.<\/p>\n

Part III – Syllabus Peer Review<\/span><\/strong>: In pairs or small groups, participants will exchange syllabi and provide the review of a critical friend from the perspective of a student.<\/p>\n
