In response to Colin MacFarlane\u2019s alert notice\u00a0on first-year student progress, we received a strong 52% response from you. \u00a0Academic Success is now reaching out to the 7% FSEM students identified as at-some-risk.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Measuring Learning<\/em><\/strong>: We will provide soon an update FSEM evaluation.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>FSEM Syllabus: <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0We are in receipt of all syllabi. Thank you. Click <a href=\"mailto:FSEM@stetson.edu\">here<\/a> to\u00a0indicate your interest (or not) in sharing your syllabus with other instructors. Look out for information soon on how to access the FSEM Syllabus Library.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>TA Syllabus<\/em>:<\/strong>\u00a0Thank you to all who have already submitted TA syllabi; however, a few syllabi are still outstanding. Find <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/fsem\/teaching-apprentices\/\">here<\/a> examples of TA syllabi. Note: Per <a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.stetson.edu\/undergraduate\/student-policy\/academic-affairs\/course-syllabi-policy\/\">Stetson Course Syllabus Policy<\/a>, all courses require a syllabus. Submit your TA syllabus by October 1, 2017.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Class Experience Budget:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Each FSEM has a class experience budget of $150 to spend on an activity that is social, academic, or both.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Discovery Initiative<\/em><\/strong>: Five FSEM instructors are participating in a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/fsem\/2017\/06\/18\/discovery-initiative-launched\/\">Discovery-FSEM Initiative<\/a>. The pilot, launched this summer, aims to guide undecided students\u00a0through the process of exploring a major.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>FSEM Manua<\/em>l:<\/strong> The 2013 FSEM Manual is now <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/fsem\/fsem-manual-resource-guide\/\">live<\/a> as is the draft of the new\u00a0FSEM Manual &amp; Resource Guide. If you have interest in providing content for the new manual, <a href=\"mailto:Fsem@stetson.edu\">contact us<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Teaching &amp; Inquiry Circles<\/strong>: <\/em>Are you considering an FSEM circle or related idea?\u00a0There is a rolling deadline for instructors to apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/faculty-engagement\/2017\/09\/after-hurricane-irma-revised-deadlines-for-brown-center-programs\/\"> circle<\/a>\u00a0grants. The call remains open as long as resources are available.\u00a0<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>First Year Success Resources<\/em><\/strong>: Thank you to the many of you who have sent forward resources\u00a0on first-year student success to build the library of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.stetson.edu\/fsem\/fsem-resources\/\">FSEM Resources<\/a>.
