Upgrade to Blackboard Ultra compete

The Office of Online Learning and EdTech (OOLET) is pleased to announce that the upgrade to Blackboard Ultra was successfully completed! While there were a few minor bumps in the implementation road, the migration itself went very well.  Please take a moment to review the new interface and your course content. We think the new interface looks very sleek, modern and efficient! And don’t forget, Chrome is the recommended browser for Ultra.

A general overview of the Blackboard Ultra Experience and training schedule are currently posted in the online Faculty Resource Center (FRC). To access the FRC, after logging into Blackboard, press the Organizations link from the left-side menu. A new screen appears; press the Faculty Resource Center link, navigate to the Ultra Upgrade Center from the left-side navigation menu and press that link.

NOTE: There is a small problem with how course lists are currently displayed in Ultra. The courses are listed by term on the Courses page. Unfortunately for some users, the terms are not correctly listing the related courses and some courses may be listed under an incorrect term. The good news is that all the courses appear to have been migrated and are accessible. Unfortunately, while Blackboard is working on fixing this error, the course lists may appear a bit confusing. Please press here for information on how to customize your course display options; this will help organize the course lists until the matter is resolved.

TRAINING: A few more training dates are scheduled for January:
Deland: Monday, January 9th, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Webinar: Wednesday, January 11th, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Gulfport: Thursday, January 12th, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Please send an email to [email protected] to RSVP for desired session 24 hours in advance. Any sessions that do not have at least 2 RSVPs will be rescheduled.

Please feel free to contact the OOLET office with any questions to [email protected].

Best regards,
