Welcome to academic year 2015-2016. Below are activities of special significance:
• Major Mixers from 11:15 am-Noon on Monday, August 17, locations listed in Appendix D of the FOCUS Schedule. Mixers provide an opportunity for new students to connect with faculty, staff and other students in their chosen area of study.
• Opening University Faculty and Staff Meeting from 9:00 – 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 19, in the Edmunds Center. President Libby and Provost Paul will report on progress made toward Strategic Map priorities and provide an overview of goals for 2015-2016. All faculty and staff are expected to attend.
• University Convocation from 5:30 – 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 19, in the Edmunds Center. A processional with faculty in full regalia will herald the official start off the academic year as all students, faculty and staff come together for this formal academic opening ceremony.
• Community Dinner from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, in the Hollis Center. Come enjoy fun, food and entertainment as students, faculty and staff join together for a community dinner immediately following Convocation.
• University Faculty Meeting from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on Friday August 21, in Rinker Auditorium (LBC 108). The first faculty meeting for DeLand and Celebration faculty. Find here a complete list of faculty meetings for 2015-2016.
