Does the tone of your syllabus reflect your classroom? Does it tell students what excites you about the course – or what you’ll be like as an educator? Does it need to?
Join us at Syllabus Bootcamp to put the final touches on your syllabus, get supportive feedback from colleagues, and learn new strategies for preparing effective syllabi.
Workshop Outline
Part I – Syllabus Template: As a group, we will briefly review the Stetson University Syllabus Template.
Part II – Making your syllabus transparent and inclusive: Members of the 2017-2018 Brown Innovation Fellows cohort will share lessons they learned in preparing syllabi that are transparent, clear and inviting to students.
Part III – Syllabus Peer Review: In pairs or small groups, participants will exchange syllabi and provide the review of a critical friend from the perspective of a student.
