Stetson Launches Online Faculty Resource Center

Dear Stetson Faculty:
I am very pleased to announce the availability of an online Faculty Resource Center!

The Faculty Resource Center is a dynamic Blackboard-based online organization designed to provide instructors with up-to-date resources, instructions and information regarding online and educational technologies. As much as technology supports and enhances teaching and learning, it can also be a source of frustration when it’s “not working” or new. We’ve all been there. Our goal is to reduce the frustration!

The main sections of the site contain a variety of information regarding online learning, such as Blackboard basics, commonly used features, online learning tools, quality assurance checks, and access to the new online course template. Faculty using Blackboard to enhance or supplement their classroom course will also find these sections useful. Other parts include related Stetson Resources, universal design for learning (UDL) information, faculty discussion boards and more.

The site is accessible via the Faculty Resource Center tab that now appears at the top right of your screen after you log on to Blackboard (Home – Courses – Content Collection – Faculty Resource Center). Please feel free to contact me directly if you don’t see this new tab or if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to help with all things online!

Best regards,
Lisa Sawtell
