ACE Women’s Network of Florida
​​​​​The ACE Women’s Network is a national system of networks within each state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia with the goal of advancing and supporting women in higher education. The Stetson chapter of the Florida network implements programs that identify, develop, encourage, advance, link, and support (IDEALS) women in higher education careers.

Brown Teacher-Scholar Fellows (BTSF) Program
This flagship program of the Brown Center for Faculty Innovation and Excellence prepares teacher-scholars who inspire current and future faculty to aspire to excellence in undergraduate learning, teaching, and research. Brown Teacher-Scholar Fellows come from and contribute to a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields.

Stetson’s  Stetson Teacher-Scholar model forms the foundation for leadership development.

Global Initiative for Inclusive Leadership (GIIL)
GIIL targets disciplines,students, and regions historically underrepresented in global learning at Stetson. Awards encourage programs, projects and research activity that promote inclusion and equity in global learning.

  • Global Gateways Program: Stetson University is excited  about its first semester abroad program for incoming students. Global Gateways creates a cohort experience for first-year students to begin their tenure at Stetson abroad. Students will take 16 credits abroad, including their required First Year Seminar, a general education requirement, other courses as well as cultural activities and excursions. Faculty are invited to apply to serve as faculty program director.
  • Rinker Global Scholars Program: The David and Leighan Rinker Global Scholars Program honors the legacy of longstanding donors and advocates for youth, Drs. David and Leighan Rinker. The centerpiece of the program is an immersive experience where students participate in a study abroad experience with Stetson faculty in Venice, Italy during the spring semester of their sophomore year.

Summer Grants for Faculty Research & Creative Inquiry
Stetson University supports teacher-scholar development of tenured and tenure-track faculty through the award of summer grants. Projects supported by a summer grant must contribute to the University’s mission of teaching, research, and artistic development. Summer grants are intended to support activities carried out in the summer months immediately following the award.

Summer Undergraduate Research Programs
Stetson emphasizes  achievement in research and creative work appropriate to student’s field of study. The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), makes competitive awards to students who wish to pursue individual research or creative projects with a member of the faculty. The Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) Undergraduate Summer Research Experience, a collaboration with UCF,  exposes students to the latest game-development processes for producers, artists and programmers through a self-designed research project.

WORLD Class Initiative
WORLD Class is a robust program of professional development to explore and elevate diverse elements of global citizenship and intercultural competence. The Lunch & Learn Series is an inclusive excellence discussion series designed for faculty and staff to help shape the direction of international learning and intercultural competence at Stetson. WORLD Class Travel Awards offer faculty grants for international exploration, research and creative study, and international faculty development seminars. Since 2015, WORLD Class has spawned a refreshed faculty international exchange program, tripled the number of faculty-led study abroad courses, and expanded international engagement students, faculty and staff.
